ASH WEDNESDAY! 19 February

Each year we have an Ash Wednesday Mass and each year it’s co-ordinated at the last minute because I forget to list it here on Repleatur, but Now I Have Remembered To Add It In!

Ashes come pre-blessed - they’re distributed after Mass - we can sing Parce Domine or something like that. The final hymn comes after. Might like to have a copy of Parce with lots of verses ready.

I’m not sure if anything’s happening at Lawson for the feast of the Assumption, but it falls on a Friday this year. It’s a Holy Day of Obligation and there’s usually a midday Mass at Katoomba on Fridays. They’re usually pretty good there, but have had a policy of only distributing Communion on the tongue to the last communicants. Not sure if that’s still the case.
